- The Backwoods Angler was founded
in 2000 by Blaine Mengel, Jr., and offers professionally
guided smallmouth bass fishing trips on the Delaware
River, Susquehanna
River, Schuylkill River and other select waters in Eastern
and Central PA. I am fully insured by Jack Martin &
Assoc. Insurance Co., in MD, and am certified in CPR, First
Aid and Water Safety. The Backwoods Angler utilized the
finest products in the industry. I am sponsored by Mizmo

All trips with Ray
Peewee Serfass are on his 18' long, 6½' wide Jet
boat. All equipment is supplied for Fly, Spin or Bait casting
plus all bait and lures. Ray takes you on a very scenic
stretch of the Delaware
River, from Milford, Pennsylvania to the Delaware Water
Gap, Pennsylvania, with the chance of seeing all kinds of
wildlife, such as Deer, Bear, Beaver, Turkey, Otter and
much more. Ray Peewee Serfass has been fishing for many
years and knows the best spots on the river to take you
for a great day of fishing. He has been written about in
many magazines, including "American Angler", the
"Mid Atlantic Fly Fishing
Guide", and articles in the "Pocono Record"
news paper. Below you can see the beauty of the Delaware
