Cheat River in Pennsylvania
The Cheat River runs off of the Monongahela River
in southwestern Pennsylvania.
It flows for a short distance through southwestern Fayette County,
Pennsylvania before joining the Monongahela River at Point Marion,
Pennsylvania.
The Cheat watershed is a favorite destination for
whitewater kayaking and rafting. On the first weekend in May of
every year many attend the Cheat Festival.

The Lower Yough is one of
the most impressive attractions at Ohiopyle
State Park. As the river winds through our Pennsylvania mountains,
the Class III & IV rapids will challenge the veteran river-runner
but not over intimidate the novice rafter. You captain your own
boat while the ever-present guides will paddle along coaching
and assisting you throughout the rapids. The excitement of the
rapids and the beauty of the Yough Gorge will bring you back again
and again. Email
