An airport is a facility where aircraft can take off and land. Pennsylvania airports may have a variety of facilities and infrastructure, including fixed base operator services, air traffic control, passenger facilities such as restaurants and lounges, and emergency services. The term airport refers to a company that is licensed by the responsible government organization (ie FAA). Airports have to be maintained to higher safety standards.
