Pennsylvania Turnpike
Since 1940, the Pennsylvania Turnpike has traveled from New Jersey
to Ohio, in five different sections. The entire turnpike stretches
532 miles, the largest section is 359 miles from New Jersey to Ohio.

The turnpike serves most of Pennsylvania’s urban areas. Toll
rates vary, EZ-Pass is taken along the turnpike, sometimes accessed
through high-speed lanes.
As population has grown so has the Pennsylvania Turnpike. Twenty-one
service areas accommodate the needs of travelers. An average of
447,441 cars travel using the Pennsylvania Turnpike daily. With
one of the lowest fatality rates in the country, Pennsylvania Turnpike
Commission is continuously improving the road in an effort to accommodate
the ever-growing populations.

The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission requires permits for unique vehicles. If you are traveling on the PA turnpike with a uncommon vehicle make sure you looking into restrictions as to the time of day those vehicles may travel. This includes cars with tinted windows.
