Warhol was born on August 6th of 1928. Andy was a artist in every
way possible. Warhol was one of the founding members of the Pop
Art movement in the United States in the 1950s. Most people recognize
his Campbell Soup painting. He is also famous for the quotation
"In the future everyone will be famous for 15 minutes".
Warhol was born as Andrew Warhol in Pittsburgh,
Pennsylvania. Warhol studied commercial art in Pittsburgh
at Carnegie Mellon University.
Andy Warhol Museum is in Pittsburgh, PA . It is the largest art
museum dedicated to Andy Warhol, holding more than 4,000 works
by the artist himself. The museum houses several original works
donated by the Andy Warhol Foundation in New
York and also many other personal items donated by Warhol's
relatives. On February 22nd in 1987 Andy Warhol died in New York
City during a gallbladder surgery. His body is keep at the St.
John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery in Bethel Park, Pennsylvania,
south of Pittsburgh. He was 58 at the time of his death.
