Zippo Lighter Museum & Visitor Center
Zippo has a Visitors Center that is located at 1932
Zippo Drive, in Bradford, PA. There are 14 custom-made Zippo displays
lining the drive leading up to the center and a 40 foot zippo
lighter over the entrance. The zippo museum and store are open
Monday thur Saturday 9am to 5pm. Thurs days the center is open
till 7pm and Sundays hours are 11am to 4pm. This museum is worth
the trip it is one of the only place were you can see all the
rare zippo lighters and cases. The Zippo/Case store is the only
place in the world that sells the complete line of Zippo and Case
products.
The
Zippo Lighter is made by the Zipp manufacturing company in Pennsylvania.
Zippos have been aound of over 70 years. The Zippo lighter fluid,
flint and wick are refillable so you only need one. One of the
reasons Zippos are so popular is that the united states miltary
has issued them to many of there soilders. These lighters are
made so well that they come with a lifetime guarantee. Zippos
range in price you can find them for as little as $30 but many
are considered colloctors ideams and sell form much more.
Zippo Manufacturing company is located in Bradford,
Pennsylvania. It was started by George G. Blaisdell in 1932. The
company got the name Zippo becuase the owner liked the sound of
the word "Zipper". Zippo has a patent on it lighter.
